This is seriously an amazing visual. I always hear people say “healthy food is too expensive”…. well here you go!

I never heard people say “healthy food is too expensive.” It’s always, “ORGANIC food is too expensive.”

If your argument is healthy food is too expensive then you should be comparing it to buying food that’s bad for you from the grocery store. Of course you’re going to get a shit ton less if you buy from a fast food place. Healthy food more often than not is way more expensive to buy.

I think people get turned off by spending 100 bucks at once on groceries, when they could just pay 5-10 bucks at McDonalds for a meal since it’s less up front. But what people don’t really realize is that 100 bucks feeds you for a week or two, depending.

this has got to vary from state to state because these prices are far too low than what i’ve seen in NYC. i’d say i’ve paid about double the prices here for the things i’ve actually bought before. HALF a gallon of milk is $2

no way in hell are these prices accurate UGH 10 POUNDS OF POTATOES ARE NOT 3 DOLLARS, JESUS CHRIST.
Also foooooooooooood dessertsssssssssssssssssss, people in impoverished areas do not have access to quality produce or unprocessed food. When the only food store in a reasonable distance (keep in mind poor people usually don’t have cars and can’t just drive to Whole Foods) is a 7/11, of course you’re going to buy the cheapest food that will keep you/your family full for the longest. ALSO poor people need the food that will last the longest as well, processed frozen dinners or what have you can feed a family for much longer than fresh fruit that will decompose within a week, and that’s waaaaaaastefuuuuuuuuuuulllllllllllllll and when you’re pooooooooor you doooooooon’t waaaaaaaaaste moooooooooneyyyyyyyyyyyy.

I hate seeing this shit. NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO BE HEALTHY FUCKING BEACONS OF WONDER AND GLORY NOR IS THAT EVEN A REASONABLE EXPECTATION WHEN FOOD DESSERTS ARE A HUGE FUCKING THING. You want people to eat more healthy? Fucking do something about it, don’t shame poor people for not being privileged enough to eat organic lentils and greek yogurt and bullshit. Privileged bags of dicks.
